Kiwanis Club of Wythe County
|
Welcome to the Kiwanis Club
|
To give primacy to the human and spiritual rather
than to the material values of life.
| |
To encourage the daily living of the Golden Rule in
all human relationships.
| |
To promote the adoption and the application of
higher social, business, and professional standards.
| |
To develop, by precept and example, a more
intelligent, aggressive, and serviceable citizenship.
| |
To provide, through Kiwanis clubs, a practical means
to form enduring friendships, to render altruistic service, and to build
better communities.
| |
To cooperate in creating and maintaining that sound
public opinion and high idealism which make possible the increase of
righteousness, justice, patriotism, and goodwill.

In a word, our emphasis is KIDS. Our service projects are aimed a the youth of our community, our nation and the world. Our projects target kids from first born through teenage years. We buy age appropriate books and give them to preschoolers through Social Services and other contact groups to make sure all kids own at least one book. Our members volunteer to be reading aids for the first graders in our local school. Some kids need extra attention. We support the After Prom Parties to help keep our teens safe while they have fun. Our college scholarship program is in place to help our young adults further their education. We are interested in our community and the future leaders of our community. If you would like to help, take a second to send us an email or call our President. We would love to meet you and invite you to join the Kiwanis.
If you wish to contact us, Co-Presidents Roy Hand or Sid Crockett would enjoy your phone call. An Email would reach him at the below address.
